Switchfoot Covers Beyonce's Smash Single

Alternative Christian rock band Switchfoot has recorded a new music video in which they cover Beyonce’s top single “Crazy in Love.”

The video can be found as part of Yahoo’s ongoing CoverArt series where unlikely artists remake a song of another genre.

Beyonce, whose genre focuses on R&B and pop, has a quite distant sound to that of the San Diego faith-based band. Yet, Switchfoot reinvents the song with a little bit of their own rock flavor while still maintaining the key foundation of the tune.

The song comes amid of their third successful U.S. mainstream album release, Oh! Gravity, which has been top-ranked on the charts since its release.

Switchfoot is also about to engage on a 40-city tour, hitting major cities in both the United States and Canada. This follows a European tour that the band is currently on.

Indie rock group Copeland will join Switchfoot for the American tour.

The Beyonce-Switchfoot cover video can be found at the Yahoo Pepsi Smash website.
