In this file image, thousands attend Creation Festival June 23-26, 2007. This year up to 50,000 visitors are expected at Creation '08 in Agape Farm in Mount Union, Pa.

Thousands of believers, mainly young people, are flocking to the campgrounds of Agape Farm in Mount Union, Pa., for the major annual music festival where alcoholic beverages and drugs are not allowed and the dress code is “modesty.”

Several stages at the festival are featuring popular Christian music artists, including Newsboys, Switchfoot, TobyMac, Hawk Nelson and Chris Tomlin, just to name a few. But Creation ’08 is about more than music, organizers say.

“Creation is also about honoring the Word of God,” they state on their Web site.

Every year, tens of thousands of people attending the festival hear messages that challenge and inspire them in their faith walk. Among the speakers this year is the Rev. Rob Schenck, president of Faith and Action, who will speak out in favor of life.

Schenck said he will give this year’s pro-life message in the context of the Scripture passage Psalm 139 and the recent hit movie “Juno,” a film about a pregnant 16-year-old who realizes the importance of life and decides not to abort her baby.

"Creation has always been a highlight for me," Schenck said of the festival, which features dozens of Christian bands, sports activities, and live public baptisms.”

"Few places pack so much spiritual energy into such a compact period of time. The kids and adults who attend Creation get their spiritual batteries recharged while they also have a lot of fun. Hundreds will come to Christ, renew their Christian commitments and experience a deeper sense of calling on their lives,” he added.

Schenck, also part of a network of people “who share a common concern about the moral integrity of our American culture,” will speak Saturday on the final day of the festival.

This year’s Creation Festival is being held on June 25-28 and is expected to draw as many as 50,000 visitors.

“Hundreds of thousands of people have been spiritually enriched and made life-changing decisions for Christ and we give God all the glory,” according to the festival Web site. “The Creation Festival is all about changing lives and glorifying our Creator. Our prayer for at Creation '08 is that people will be changed, restored, and challenged to serve the Lord and to make a difference in this world.”

This is a great event!! I have been to this event myself when it was on Loon Mountain! It is an awesome thing to go and see people who LOVE JESUS praising Him and giving glory to HIS Name! Many do give their hearts to Jesus right there. But if nothing else they meet Jesus who is not bound by the four walls of the church.

JESUS is out in the streets folks, not locked behind the walls of any building! Instead of jumping on these events, why not get out of your house and go join the PRAISE and WORSHIP of JESUS!
HE is worthy of all praise and worship!! I pray the whole New England area will rock with HIS PRAISE And SHAKE this nation!!! The KING is worthy of praise. HE loves us and that is something to shout about!!!!! GLORY KING JESUS!

Why can't we have "events" which are Faith based and feel good? Each time I see an event covered here it gets bashed and derided as not being biblically correct. Unfortunate that so many "Christians" just can't have a good time anymore even while embracing the faith. Is that what it is all about??

"âHundreds of thousands of people have been spiritually enriched and made life-changing decisions for Christ and we give God all the glory,â according to the festival Web site."

How have they been spiritually enriched? Just another great Christian rock concert one can attend out of the many each yeay available to the American youth of today? Made life changing decisions for Christ? What kind of life changing decisions for Christ? That is the key question that needs answering. Can unregenerate people make life-changing decisions for Christ? Is it man that makes a decision for Christ or is it Christ who made the decision for man, before the very foundations of the world? Who gets all the Glory? God or man?

There are some serious problems in the Church today and the lack of sound doctrine, sound biblical teaching, is a root cause of many of them. How many thousands of those young people attending that event are there for the good feelings, fellowship and entertainment that is provided for them? How many will seriously count the cost of what it really means to be a disciple of the LORD Jesus Christ? Like death for instance, to die for proclaiming the whole Gospel? How many will go back home to their Mums and Dads and start obeying their parents? Keeping their bedrooms etc., clean and tidy from now on? Not back chatting their Mums and Dads anymore? Being respectful to their elders? How many will truly repent of their sinful wickedness and turn in genuine godly sorrow and humility to the LORD and follow Him for the rest of their days?

May God lay such a burning fire in the hearts of those young people at that "Christian Woodstock" event and that their lives will never be the same again as their eyes are opened to the awesome holiness of God and the terrible blindness of the lost out there. Thousands die very day and most of them are probably not even born again and will end up in the lake of fire. Does not that thought burn your mind? The thought of the lost being cast into the lake of fire? Absolutely frightening and sobering.

O LORD God please give them the same sort of vision William Booth saw in his minds eye:
