Star Wars Fan Theory on How Kylo Ren Got Vader's Helmet Will Get You Thinking

So you were probably one of the tens of millions of people who watched Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

In both the film and many of the trailers, the deformed helmet of Darth Vader is shown to be in the possession of the villainous First Order fellow Kylo Ren.

Now some of you probably thought to yourselves, "Gee whiz, how the heck did he get his hands on that helmet? Wasn't it destroyed in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi?"

Well, the people behind the YouTube account Star Wars Minute offer up a theory, a fan theory that is, based off of one of the numerous Star Wars novels written over the past few decades.

Uploaded to YouTube on Dec. 29 of last year, the fan theory video has gotten 779,000+ views and 3,600+ likes. It also got over 260 dislikes, presumably from people taking umbrage with the theory.
