'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 5 Release Date, Spoilers: Daisy to Go on Solo Missions?

Daisy (Chloe Bennet) will encounter her usual share of troubles in the upcoming season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

According to IB Times, Bennet has been sharing set photos of herself covered in cuts and bruises, hinting that Daisy will be in a number of fights in the new installment. With the Secret Warriors still in hiatus, there is a chance that Daisy is going on solo missions again, with or without Coulson's (Clark Gregg) approval. In the past, when she went rogue, Daisy was involved in a bunch of brawls. After the team's traumatic experience with the Framework, she is probably trying to keep her mind from dwelling too much on the "what might have beens" by getting tangled in fights.

In AIDA's (Mallory Jansen) alternate world, Daisy and Ward (Brett Dalton) were still together. It was quite a scenario for her, since in reality, he betrayed S.H.I.E.L.D. by becoming a spy for Hydra. Ward met his end when a parasitic alien took over his body. Daisy's boyfriend that time, Lincoln (Luke Mitchell), sacrificed his life to kill him. When AIDA's hold on S.H.I.E.L.D. was broken, Daisy woke up in the real world without Ward, just as expected. It will probably take Daisy a while to get used again to the fact that both her ex-boyfriends are now dead.

Meanwhile, spoilers reveal that a former agent will return to the squad. Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), who previously turned his back on S.H.I.E.L.D. together with his wife Bobbie Morse (Adrianne Palicki), is reportedly set to rejoin the group. It is up to Coulson to decide if they will still accept him since the team already disavowed him. Blood and Palicki left the series to star in the spinoff, "Most Wanted." Unfortunately, for some reason, the show was scrapped.

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 will air midseason 2018.
