'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 5 Spoilers: Is Bobbie Morse Returning with Lance?

Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) may return with her husband Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) in the upcoming season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

In an interview with IB Times, Palicki said she is more than willing to reprise her role as Bobbie in the new installment. She played the character for two seasons before Bobbie was written off the series. Both Palicki and Blood were supposed to star in the planned spinoff, "Marvel's Most Wanted," until ABC decided to scrap it. It has been previously teased that Blood would return and join the cast in season 5. Fans are already looking forward to seeing the disavowed agent back in the fold.

"If they ask me, I would absolutely come back," Palicki said. "I know Nick's coming back. So what are they gonna do without Bobbi is all I'm asking. I would absolutely make a cameo. For sure."

Meanwhile, spoilers reveal that new storyline will take the squad on space missions. Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the others will reportedly team up with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s space equivalent, Sentient World Observation and Response Department (S.W.O.R.D.). In the last finale, viewers caught a glimpse of Coulson standing on the bridge of a spaceship. It looks like he will not be the only one to take a trip outside the planet to work on intergalactic missions.

S.W.O.R.D. is described as an intelligence and counterterrorism agency in charge of handling extraterrestrial threats. After the Life Model Decoys that the squad faced in season 4, it has been teased that the agents would face off with extraterrestrial creatures. This will be a whole new adventure for S.H.I.E.L.D. The last time they encountered an alien was when a parasite took over Ward's (Brett Dalton) dead body.

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 two-hour premiere will air Friday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
