'Agents of SHIELD' Season 5 Spoilers: More Details of Coulson's Space Mission To Be Revealed
The details of Coulson's (Clark Gregg) space adventure is slowly being revealed in the upcoming season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
According to Comicbook, the series' transmedia producer Geoffrey Colo posted a series of set photos via social media that showed more of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intergalactic mission. In last season's finale, Coulson was shown aboard a craft, looking out at a sea of rocks floating in space. The website posits that the new installment will introduce a new organization, the Sentient World Observation and Response Department, and this is reportedly the space equivalent of S.H.I.E.L.D. It is described as an "intelligence and counter terrorism agency" in charge of handling extraterrestrial threats.
From how it looks, Coulson will not be the only one traveling outside the planet. His S.H.I.E.L.D. team will go with him, and they are set to work alongside S.W.O.R.D. on several assignments. Fans of the series are already looking forward to their new adventure. After AIDA and the Life Model Decoys, there have been a lot of speculations regarding the type of enemies Coulson's squad could be facing next, and it appears that those who wanted to see them fight more aliens will get their wish.
Meanwhile, spoilers reveal that Daisy (Chloe Bennet) will waste no time diving back into the melee in season 5. Set photos showed her covered in cuts and bruises. Back in her rogue days, the character also had a bunch of moments when all she wanted to do was fight. It was during the time she was mourning the death of her boyfriend, Lincoln (Luke Mitchell), and left S.H.I.E.L.D. Daisy's experience in the Framework was bittersweet. In that alternate reality, she and Ward (Brett Dalton) were still together. Of course, when she was brought back to the real world, there was no going around the fact that Ward was gone and he died a monster.
Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 will air midseason 2018.
