The iPhone 8 and the iPhone X duo may be getting all the attention, but Apple also has something for those who love its Watch series.

After unveiling the Apple Watch 3 in its recent launch event, the Cupertino giant has finally provided some of the details that users have been itching to know about the smartwatch.

Apple touts an all-day battery life for the Apple Watch 3, emphasizing that they set a goal of 18 hours for the battery life after an overnight charge, "factoring in things like checking the time, receiving notifications, using apps, and doing a 30-minute workout."

Since it will still boil down to how the wearer uses the smartwatch, Apple tested it in different scenarios and found that it will not last the whole day. Per their official document:

All-day battery life is based on 18 hours with the following use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use, and a 30-minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth, over the course of 18 hours. Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) usage includes connection to iPhone via Bluetooth during the entire 18-hour test.

With regard to talk time, the Apple Watch 3 only lasts three hours while connected to iPhone via Bluetooth. It only handled an hour of talk time while connected directly to Long-Term Evolution (LTE).

Those who will be using it mostly for audio playback (there are over 40 million songs in it up for streaming), the Apple Watch 3 can last up to 10 hours. Workout-focused usage will allow up to 10 hours indoor. It will only last five hours when used for outdoor workout with GPS and an hour less when used with LTE.

Thankfully, charging up the device will be an easy task. It will only take about an hour and a half to juice it up to 80 percent. It will be "about two hours" to fully charge it to 100 percent.

While it might not seem as much to some, the Apple Watch 3 is still much better in this department compared to the first wave of the smartwatch.

The Apple Watch 3 gives users the ability to do a lot more sans a smartphone. They can now text or make a call and even enjoy the services of a much smarter Siri. Even without an iPhone, the device will still send alerts from apps.

Available for preorder on Sept. 15 (shipping starts Sept. 22), the Apple Watch 3 comes in a litany of designs including Nike and Hermes ones. Users can also customize it by choosing the bands it will come with.

The GPS version of the Apple Watch 3 starts at $329 while the models with added Cellular mode are at $399. Hermès units start at $1,149 while the Edition models are at a beefy $1,299 price tag.
