'Avengers 3' Rumors, News: Major Characters to Be Replaced in Sequel?
While it's still too early to know much about the sequel to "Avengers 2," there are news and rumors circulating the web that fans may not entirely be happy to hear about. Here's what we found out about "Avengers 3."
Avengers is a movie franchise involving Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America team up film. But that could change after the second sequel will come out.
In a report by Inquistr, they pointed out that the Phase Three of Marvel's cinematic universe will see major changes. That includes replacing the characters that are played by the already mega famous actors Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and others.
Marvel is actually setting up "Avengers 3" as "the springboard to ... something else," an insider told IGN.
"Rather than using Avengers 3 as the finale to the Downey Jr./Evans/Hemsworth saga. Downey Jr.'s Stark is said to be leading the new team in 'Avengers 3,' paving the way for a grand conclusion in another film, which would bring back the original Avengers team for one last time," the source explained.
The news strike up numerous speculations and assumptions.
"What if The Avengers 3 primarily focuses on the newer characters only? What if Thor, Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America (the Chris Evans version, anyway) aren't the stars of it because their stories have taken them elsewhere?" Screen Rant suggested.
"What if The Avengers 3 is setup for another movie, maybe even another movie later that same year which will bring everything together? That's what this latest rumor is hinting at and it sounds intriguing, especially since it opens up even bigger possibilities to what major events from Marvel Comics could be adapted," the site continued.
"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens May 1, 2015.
