Better Call Saul Release Date, Spoilers: 'Breaking Bad' Spin-Off Show Introduced in a Music Video
Sunday night, AMC aired a music video of the upcoming "Breaking Bad" spin-off show, "Better Call Saul" which will star Bob Odendkirk as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.
The music video featured country singer Junior Brown singing the catchy chorus lines:
"Saul, Saul, you better call Saul / He'll fight for your rights when your back's to the wall / He'll stick it to the man, justice for all / You better call Saul."
Multi award winning crime and suspense TV series "Breaking Bad" was considered one of the best shows ever to air on cable TV. While its main stars Bryan Cranston, playing the chemist teacher turned meth cook (Walter White), and Aaron Paul, the product runner (Jesse Pinkman), were the show's main attraction, Bob Odendirk's Saul Goodman also shared the attention from the fans.
The spin-off "Better Call Saul" will be based entirely around Odendirk's character. As reported, the upcoming show will take place a few years before the attorney, formerly known as Jimmy McGilm, moved into Albuquerque, New Mexico in "search for his destiny."
Joining Odendirk is "Breaking Bad" alum Jonathan Banks who will once again play a laid back yet lethal, private detective named Mike Ehrmantraut.
Speaking with E! Online, the 51-year-old actor and director shared his excitement about the forthcoming show.
"Everything is new to me. I didn't know any of this story about the character. I'm learning a lot about this guy, and everyone's going to learn a lot about him because it's all new story," Odenkirk said.
"Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have brought what everyone loved about Breaking Bad to Better Call Saul, all those cliffhanger moments, the tension, it's all there and I think the fans are going to be super glad to have that back in their life," the comedian went to add.
"Better Call Saul" will arrive on the small screens this coming February 2015 on AMC and Netflix.
