Call of Duty 2015 News, Update: Activision Releases the First Teaser, Is It Black Ops 3?
Game studio Treyarch will be taking over the task of bringing the next Call of Duty first-person shooter game installment project this year.
Treyarch brought the 2008 hit "World at War" and the previous "Black Ops" editions. Up to this day, it still wasn't been duly confirmed as to what title the studio will take on next. However, strong speculations pointed out that 2015's CoD edition will most probably be "Black Ops 3."
Activision's newly released teaser gives some clues. Although the video is devoid of any in-action game footage to give gamers a concrete idea of what the gameplay will be like, the end of the preview shows the Roman numerals "III," which strongly indicates a sequel of the 2012 game.
The good news is that fans won't have to wait too long to know more details about the upcoming game. It was indicated in the video that the world reveal of the first-person shooter will be on Sunday, April 26.
"We have Treyarch developing the game. We'll have a larger installed base of next-gen hardware to sell into, and we believe our Q4 new release can be one of our best games yet. So we think the future is bright," Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said previously.
Earlier reports also indicated that the game will likely be released this fall.
