The work date, as indicated, will "tentatively" take place on April 27th.

In October 2014, Marvel Studios revealed Civil War as part of MCU's Phase Three slate. The announcement, which took the fans by storm, went on to specify that its titular hero (played by Chris Evans) is set to go up against co-Avenger Iron-Man (played by Robert Downey Jr.).

The story, as previously revealed, will take place after the "Age of Ultron" events, which comic book readers might have already known will cause a big rift among the Marvel heroes.

Confirmed to return as directors are the "Winter Soldier" helmers Anthony and Joseph Russo. Also reported to join Evans and RDJ is Jeremy Renner, who will suit up as his Avengers' character Hawkeye in the upcoming title.

"Captain America: Civil War" is slated to hit the theatres May 6, 2016.
