Christian Apologist Jeremiah Johnston and Wife Audrey Deliver Triplets After Being Deemed Barren
When doctors told Jeremiah and Audrey Johnston they couldn't conceive, the couple held on to their faith and trusted that God would have the final say.
After several years of prayer and one cycle of in vitro fertilization, the Johnstons are now the parents of five children. Earlier this month, Audrey gave birth to triplet boys, and this year they also celebrated the 7th birthday of their daughter, Audrey, and 4th birthday of son, Justin.
IVF, the manual joining of an egg and sperm, is considered the most effective form of assisted reproductive technology, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The Johnstons couldn't be more thrilled about their new arrivals: Ryder, who weighed in at 3.8 pounds, Abel, 4.6 pounds, and Jaxon, 5.5 pounds, local news station KPRC reports.
A pastor and New Testament scholar, Johnston previously told The Christian Post that during his and his wife's struggle with infertility there were times when he wanted to give up on believing that they would conceive. He said he leaned heavily on Audrey, whose faith helped bolster the couple.
"She was the one who kept believing, kept trusting in spite of all of the odds," he said. "In spite of people saying 'you'll never get pregnant.' The beautiful thing was, as couples, especially as couples who follow Jesus, we have to make a decision when we experience problems — are we going to allow those problems to drive us apart or drive us closer together?"
Despite their heartbreaking ups and downs, Jeremiah said he and Audrey had resolved, "'We are going to trust God no matter what. No matter what the answer is, and we're going to give Him the worship and the glory.'"
