Christian Firm Accidentally Sent Vibrator to Congresswoman Michele Bachmann

A bitter implosion at one of America's leading conservative Christian political firms recently revealed that the company accidentally sent Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann a vibrator instead of another gift to help her alleviate her migraine headaches.

According to a report by Manhattan-based BuzzFeed, the political consulting firm Strategy Group For Media, known for representing a number of religious right Republicans, has been mired in lawsuits since company CEO, Rex Elsass, fired three of seven managers who attempted a religious intervention with him last spring.

Citing evidence from hundreds of e-mails and text messages made public last week, the report says the managers, seeking to address infighting and organizational chaos at the firm, confronted Elsass with some demands in a meeting that ended with them laying hands on their boss and praying for his soul.

Elsass, however, wasn't moved by the intervention and fired three of the managers, including Strategy Group President Nick Everhart.

Text messages submitted between the managers before the April 1 intervention showed that they were apprehensive about confronting Elsass.

"At least you have baby bird wings that can fly away if Rex goes nuts," noted one of the managers to others just days before the intervention. "It might be like game of thrones. All our heads on spikes and then a celebration!"

"I just personally don't think it's safe to be in that empty building with him waiting for us," said another. "Call me crazy…"

A third manager attempting to ease their worries noted: "Men, don't be anxiety filled pray about it, but the group confrontation is biblical & what must be done. We know where he'll be we meet him there in love & the reaction is in his hands."

The information, which was made public on the Franklin County Court website in an ongoing lawsuit between Everhart and Strategy Group, highlighted the incident in which one of the firm's executives said Elsass accidentally mailed Rep. Bachmann a "female pleasure machine."

Citing an e-mail thread from May 29, the report noted that Strategy Group's former voter-contact consultant P.J. Wenzel made reference to Elsass sending the vibrator to Bachmann.

While the e-mails didn't elaborate on the incident, a BuzzFeed source said Elsass intended to give Bachmann a vibrating head massager to give her some relief from her migraines but the employee he sent to purchase the gift "accidentally purchased something that more closely resembled a sex toy — and sent it to her office."

The firm reportedly retrieved the gift before Bachmann could open it.
