Cynthia Bailey Talks God Directing Her in Process of Forgiving Former Friend NeNe Leakes
Cynthia Bailey has spoken about forgiveness and God leading her in trying to do so after "Real Housewives of Atlanta" fans witnessed the demise of her friendship with fellow cast member NeNe Leakes.
Bailey, the 46-year-old model and entrepreneur, had issues with Leakes calling her husband a derogatory term. While it seems the ladies attempted to patch up their differences on their Bravo TV show, there seems to still be issues lingering between the pair.
In her latest Bravo TV blog, Bailey spoke about forgiveness being a process.

"When I forgive someone it doesn't mean that I am automatically re-embracing a relationship, nor am I pretending the hurt never happened. When I truly forgive someone, I have decided to make the choice to release that person from my judgement and anger," Bailey wrote. "Forgiveness is not always the easiest choice to make. No one likes to admit when they are wrong and take responsibility for their actions."
While the model said people need to examine themselves in order to take responsibility, she also insisted that it is inevitable that people will hurt you. Still, she spoke about the power of forgiveness.
"While we don't choose to be hurt, we DO choose our response. Through the power of forgiveness, you are able to move forward regardless of the other person's choice," Bailey wrote. "Your objective should never be about what the other person chooses to do, or not do. It should be about you focusing on what is best for your life...By forgiving others, I inadvertently forgive myself for putting myself in the situation."
She went on to speak about never remaining in a situation that is not positively serving a person's purpose and spoke about trusting God to lead her during the process of repairing friendships and life in general.
"Love doesn't control you, it frees you. I know in my heart that real friendships can be healed through mutual love, consent, and respect," Bailey wrote. "I am an optimist, and I trust God to continue to lead my way. God has taught me well."
Bailey will reportedly remain a cast member of the popular Bravo TV show amid rumors of some cast member firings.
"None of the ladies have been fired," a source reportedly told Radar Online. "Who would be left on the show? There would be no juicy storylines."
