'Dance Moms' News: Cast Members Post Emotional Messages as Season 7 Ends; Will There Be Season 8?

As the seventh season of "Dance Moms" ended recently, several cast members of the reality show addressed fans with very emotional messages.

Meanwhile, with all the drama that transpired earlier this year, fans are wondering if the show is going to be renewed for its eighth season.

"Dance Moms" is Lifetime's hit reality show that focuses on the early training of young dancers. Until season 7, choreographer Abby Lee Miller headlined the series. However, her bankruptcy fraud conviction and controversial clash with the network and producers have prevented her from continuing on with the show. She was replaced by former "Dancing With the Stars" pro Cheryl Burke, who appeared in the show earlier this month.

As "Dance Moms" season 7 ended, 17-year-old dancer and cast member Kalani Hilliker posted a lengthy and emotional message as a caption in a series of behind-the-scenes photos she shared on Instagram.

"This is hard to write but here I go. I wanna thank everyone for watching this journey we have all been on. I know I haven't been on from the beginning and I want to thank everyone for letting me be apart of this incredible experience," Hilliker said.

Hilliker then described her four years in the show as "the longest, craziest, most exciting" years of her life. "And I'm so grateful for all the friendships, opportunities, life lessons that have come out of it," she added.

Hilliker joined the show in season 4 and has been a part until the latest episode.

Meanwhile, Nia Sioux posted a video message through her YouTube channel that she titled "Goodbye to Dance Moms," in which where she reiterated that her co-cast members, especially the dancers, were her "family."

Aside from sharing the development she went through personally and in terms of her dancing career, Sioux emphasized on the show the importance of being genuine. "The OGs who started out this show, we all came from the same place. It wasn't fake. The show was built on real stuff that happened at the studio," Sioux said.

Sioux's video was obviously her personal farewell message. While Lifetime has yet to confirm "Dance Moms" season 8, the dancer had already announced in the video message that she will not be returning to the show even if it gets renewed, as she said that it was "definitely time to move on."

Meanwhile, the information on the possibility of a season 8 is few to none. However, many people point out that the show's tenacity — as clearly seen in season 7 with Miller's exit — is a factor to consider and could be an indication that it might return for another installment.
