'Duck Dynasty' Star Sadie Robertson Joining 'Dancing with the Stars' Cast?
Sadie Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" is joining the newest season of "Dancing with the Stars" this year, according to a report on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old model is the daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson. The A&E star is rumored to be joining the 19th season of "DWTS," according to Us Magazine. However, neither Robertson nor members of her famous family have confirmed the report. Despite the uncertainty, "DWTS" competitor Candace Cameron Bure tweeted her excitement over Robertson's possible dancing debut.
"Yay! Excited," the actress wrote before retweeting Us Weekly: "Exclusive: Guess which Duck Dynasty star is heading to Dancing with the Stars?"
Cameron Bure was not the only "Duck Dynasty" fan excited about the "DWTS" news. Many Twitter users posted their loyalty to the A&E star on Thursday, including Meg who wrote, "If Sadie Robertson from #DuckDynasty is on DWTS this season I would so vote for her."
"@SadieRob is going to be on #DWTS next season," user Chaz added. "I know who I'm voting for."
In addition to Robertson, season 19 of "DWTS" will also see previously announced competitors that include "Pretty Little Liars" star Janel Parrish, Olympian Lolo Jones, and actor Antonio Sabato Jr. The full cast will be announced on "Good Morning America" on Sept. 4, and the hit ABC dancing series premieres Monday, Sept. 15.
Ahead of Robertson's "DWTS" debut, the model's mother revealed that her daughter always wanted to compete in the ballroom.
"I think that our kids are really natural in front of the camera and they have fun with it," Korie Robertson said, according to Us. "Sadie, I think, wants to maybe be on a talk show and she wants to be on 'Dancing with the Stars!'"
"DWTS" is hosted by Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are also returning as judges in September.
