Elvis' Granddaughter Riley Keough Engaged to Actor Alex Pettyfer

Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough, is engaged to Alex Pettyfer after dating for a spectacularly short six months, according to reports.

English actor Alex Pettyfer met the youngest living Presley descendant, Danielle Riley Keough, on the set of their new movie "Magic Mike," a film in which he plays a male stripper. Apparently, the 21-year-old Pettyfer and the 22-year-old Keough immediately hit it off, as they were seen kissing last October- not long after they met.

Monday, Us Weekly spotted Pettyfer and Keough out at Le Petit Four in Los Angeles, Calif. grabbing a bite to eat. On the actress's hand was what seems to be a greenish emerald engagement ring.

Though Pettyfer has been in a number of movies, most notably "I Am Number Four" and "In Time," some critics allege that his career is still in its infancy- far too young to be settling down in a serious, life-long commitment.

"This seems like the craziest thing Alex could do," wrote Natalie Zutter for Crushable.com. "His career is just starting to break; to tie himself down seems counter-intuitive when he's in a place where he's still changing so much."

The same criticism could also be made for Riley Keough. Elvis' granddaughter has certainly spent some time in business, making her modeling debut in 2004 at only 14. Still, she's only been acting since 2010, with her fourth role as "Zora" in "Magic Mike" alongside fiancée Pettyfer.

More startling is Pettyfer's history dating Hollywood starlets; he previously dated Emma Roberts for a short while, and "Glee" actress Dianna Agron for a year, but managed to stay unmarried.

In that instance, the two also both starred in "I Am Number Four."

Now, it seems Pettyfer and Keough are happily engaged, although neither celebrity has responded to the rumors publicly.

"Magic Mike," starring Pettyfer, Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, and Matt Bomer is set to be released June 29, 2012 in the U.S.
