'Fantastic Beasts 2' Cast and Plot News: David Sakurai to Play Villainous Henchman
It has been two months since the sequel to the first "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movie started filming, but it is only now that updates about its cast are starting to surface. Just recently, Danish-Japanese actor David Sakurai has joined the roster of the upcoming film, where he will play a villainous character.
According to reports, Sakurai will play the new bad guy Krall, an "ambitious and sulky" henchman who is part of Gellert Grindelwald's evil empire. This new character is so ruthless that he is willing to beat the magic out of everyone who crosses his path.
The upcoming sequel is set in the year 1927, just a few months from when "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" took place where Newt Scamander held Grindelwald captive. Teasers for the film suggest that the latter will be able to make a run for it in the sequel, and Albus Dumbledore will try to catch him by working together with Newt.

The preliminary description for Sakurai's character is very limited, but it looks like being Grindelwald's faithful follower, he will take advantage of his physical prowess to defend his master.
Sakurai has yet to start shooting his scenes for the film. The actor was last seen in the Netflix superhero series "Iron Fist," where he also played the role of a villain who used martial arts to fight off the Marvel superhero. Considering his impressive fighting abilities, it should not come as a surprise if he gets intense action sequences in the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel.
Aside from Sakurai, the cast of the upcoming film also includes Callam Turner as Newt's brother, Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, Katherine Waterston as Auror Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as No-Maj Jacob Kowalski, and Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2" will open in theaters on Nov. 16, 2018.
