'Game of Thrones' Season 7: 'Long Walk' Features Three Key Rulers

A new promo trailer for "Game of Thrones" has been released. And while it does not feature any footage from upcoming season 7 episodes, it is enough to send chills down any fan's spine.

Aptly titled "Long Walk," the video sees three key players for the Iron Throne: Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington). The trailer, which spans a little over a minute and a half, opens with a stone floor as a shadow looms over it. It is clear that this figure is of Cersei, but before it can show her face, the video shifts to Jon walking down a hall.

The trailer is mostly comprised of just that--all three of them walking down the dimly lit halls of their own abode as "Sit Down" by James plays in the background. They finally reach their destination and take their respective seats of power. Jon takes his seat as King in the North, Cersei sits on the Iron Throne and Dany finds her place on the Dragonstone throne

The camera then zooms in to give viewers a closer look at each ruler. All three of them give glaring stares straight into the camera before closing their eyes one by one and the candles blow out all of a sudden. Cersei breathes out, and cold air can be seen coming from her mouth. The trailer ends with a shot of the Night King's blue eye.

This is the first season 7 teaser to feature characters from the show. The previous teaser clip only showed statues of house sigils as voiceovers are heard. This time, however, no one utters a word. Nevertheless, it still adds to the hype that has been building since the conclusion of season 6, especially since winter has finally come after waiting for so long.

The highly anticipated seventh season of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on July 16 on HBO.
