God Reveals to Pat Robertson the Next US President?
Christian Broadcasting Network Chairman Declares 'Prophetic' Word From God for 2012
Pat Robertson, host of “The 700 Club,” apparently knows who the next president will be. He said on his Christian television program that after much prayer God has revealed the candidate who will lead America in 2012.
“I spent the better part of the week praying and saying, ‘God show me something,’” Robertson shared on CBN’s “New Year’s Prayer 2012” Tuesday. “I think He showed me the next president, but I’m not supposed to talk about that so I’ll leave you in the dark.”
“I’m going to read just as I wrote down, as if I’m hearing from the Lord these words,” he continued. The founder and chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network shared that the “country was disintegrating, and to expect chaos and paralysis.”
“Your country will be torn apart by internal stress, a house divided cannot stand. Your president holds a radical view of the direction of your country which is at odds with the majority,” Robertson stated, reading from notes he had purportedly taken in his discussion with God. “Your president holds a view that is at odds with the majority, it’s a radical view of the future of this country, so that’s why we’re having this division.”
According to Robertson, only “overwhelming prayer” can win this spiritual battle and if the U.S. crumbles there will no longer be a “champion of freedom.”
“Here must be an urgent call to prayer. The Lord said, a time of maximum stress and peril, greater than at any time since the CBN ministry began,” the Southern Baptist said.
The Christian conservative leader shared that God purportedly spoke of “an economic collapse,” and that God said "this is not my judgment, they are bringing it upon themselves.”
Robertson, 81, often shares the yearly insights he claims to receive from God.
In January 2011, the televangelist declared that God had revealed to him a time of “bitter recriminations, revolutions, [and] increasing turmoil.”
In January 2010, Robertson made similar claims, citing God's wrath toward the U.S. for promoting “anti-God” laws pertaining to abortion, homosexuality and restrictions on prayer in public schools.
