Hollywood Stabbing: Woman Killed Refusing to Pay $1 for Photos (VIDEO)
A Hollywood stabbing has resulted in the death of a 23 year old woman this week, in an incident that has shocked locals.
The stabbing was allegedly sparked by an argument over a single dollar, adding to the outrageousness of the incident.
According to reports, the young woman was stabbed to death after taking photos on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Authorities have since arrested three panhandlers over the incident.
The victim, Christine Calderon, was approached by the three suspects as she was taking photos at the popular tourist attraction, according to authorities. The three men demanded that she pay them a dollar for taking photos on the Walk of Fame.
The woman refused to hand over the dollar, which angered the three men, who allegedly held her up against a wall and stabbed her to death in a horrific attack.
Mayor-elect Eric Garcetti has told CBS Los Angeles: "This is barbaric behavior and I'll be damned if we're gonna roll things back in Hollywood when we made too much progress to see this sort of, you know, complete disrespect and disregard."
The victim was rushed to a local hospital at about 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday night, but was later pronounced dead.
Suspect Dustin James Kinnear, 26, has been charged with murder, where as accomplices Jason Joel Wolstone, 33, and Brian Joseph Widdoes, 34, have been charged with two counts of accessory to the attack.
