'House of Cards' Season 6 Spoilers: Frank To Be Jealous of Claire's Success

Frank (Kevin Spacey) will not be able to hide his envy upon seeing how the American people love Claire (Robin Wright) in the potential new season of "House of Cards."

According to spoilers, Claire will turn out to be the most beloved of all the U.S. presidents. She will certainly have a huge impact on the masses, with her unique leadership standing out compared to those of the past leaders, including Frank. As with Frank's nature, he cannot stand the fact that someone else will come out better than him. Claire had already proven what a handful she was when she was still Vice President. And now that she is on top of the food chain, the jealousy he feels due to her success will rise to the surface and consume him.

With Frank capable of doing anything to stay in power, speculations are rife that it will not be long before he goes after Claire. He will give her time to enjoy being in the position, of course, but soon, he will start to assert himself and show her that she cannot get rid of him that easily.

Spoilers reveal that season 6 will focus on Claire and her administration. Showrunners Frank Pugliese and Melissa James Gibson previously said that this would be a great opportunity for Claire to show what she is capable of. With regards to Frank, he will learn to stay in the shadows, at least for a while, and let his wife take center stage.

"Her relationship with the audience is inevitably different. She and Frank are very different characters and have different needs in terms of that relationship. When she breaks the fourth wall for the first time and says, 'It's not that I haven't known you were there,' that points to our exploration of what's different about her relationship with the audience," Gibson explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

Netflix has yet to announce the renewal of "House of Cards."
