iPhone 6 Plus vs. Nexus 6: Apple and Google Make Phablets for the Next Generation
Apple's iPhone 6 flagship phone looks to be the subject of many comparisons nowadays especially with the release of a number of new smartphones and phablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the Sony Xperia Z3, and the Motorola Nexus 6.
Right now, smartphones are shifting into the phablet sizing scheme with many flagship phones seemingly getting bigger and bigger. The recently released Nexus 6 by Motorola is looking to be the largest among the phablets this year, even outsizing the iPhone 6 Plus and the Xperia Z3. For this comparison, the Nexus 6 will be facing off against the iPhone 6 Plus.
First, the Nexus 6. The Google flagship smartphone, has a 5.96-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a QHD resolution display (2560 x 1440). It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core 2.7GHz processor with an Adreno 420 GPU. It comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants and 3GB of RAM. It does not however, have microSD card support capabilities.
Out of the box, the Nexus 6 comes with the newest Android Lollipop mobile OS, as the device line is certainly to offer the purest of Android experiences.
The iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 with the addition of the Retina display. It is powered by Apple's newest 64-bit A8 chip with a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU. It comes in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants with 1GB of RAM and much like its predecessors, does not have microSD card support.
