iPod Touch 6 Could Arrive 2015, According to New Rumors
There hasn't been much news about the purported 6th Gen iPod Touch from Apple despite hoards of fans desperate to find out about the next generation iPod Touch, however, talks about the device are once again fired up with the latest rumors surrounding it. Here's what we've heard so far.
A report from Customs Today indicated that the alleged iPod Touch 6 was supposedly to appear at the last Apple unveiling event which took place on Sept. 9. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant didn't make any mentioned of the device.
This time around, as the publication site claimed, the revamped media player will likely to arrive around Spring of 2015. Citing allegations from popular Apple tipster sites, the outlet went on to say that on March of next year, the device will be known to the public alongside the anticipated Apple Watch as well as the iOS 8.2 software update.
But since we're treading on unproven grounds here, it might as well be appropriate to mention that other tech rumor sites claim that Apple "haven't even started" manufacturing the 6th gen media player device and that the company need to "evaluate first" how the recently-released handsets, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, fared in the market.
ProductReviews.net even went on to say that the long silence from the giant tech firm about the device could mean that they have already ended the iPod Touch saga.
Sources for the website said that majority of users expressing their opinions indicated that "there is actually no need for an iPhone and iPod Touch to co-exist," adding that the former could only be an "unnecessary redundancy."
But for those who still see some glimmer of hope that the device would arrive on shelves, the iPod Touch 6 is rumored to include a Retina Display, a 128 GB worth of storage space, and a Touch ID.
As for the price, the 6th Gen iPod Touch will certainly "retail less than the iPhone 6," according to reports.
