Justin Bieber Starting Over, Reveals He Scrapped an Entire Album

After reports of his non-stop partying and bad-boy behavior, Justin Bieber is turning over a new leaf as he recently said that he is now a better and more mature guy.

Bieber said that he's changed some things in his life. He's improving his relationship with his mother, carefully chosen who he spends his time with, and is going back to the drawing board for his next album.

When asked what brought about the changes in his life, the 21-year old said, "I had to see the downs to appreciate the ups, and know what I want. I'm the type of person who has to learn the hard way…But I got to a point where I wasn't happy. I wasn't who I wanted to be. Now I'm around some pretty awesome people who are supporting me and have my back."

Bieber said that the changes also affected his music.

"I'm thinking about more positive things," he told USA Today. "It completely changes my music. I had to re-do my whole [new] album. It was done but it didn't match up to where I am now and where my head's at. I want to tell my story, but I also want to give people hope."

The singer said that his songs will be about "growing and being in touch with yourself."

"What can I say, it's life experiences, and knowing that you can get back up and keep going. Hope and faith, that's what's gotten me through this too, my faith," he said. "I lost hope for a while … I was in a dark place, but it's about getting out of that rut. It's about knowing there's sunshine on the other side."

Bieber's last album, Believe, was released in 2012. The singer, who is currently working with Kanye West and Rick Rubin on his new album, said that he's "finishing up" on the new album, but he's not rushing it.

"I'll just wait until it's totally done," he said.
