Lindsay Lohan and Elizabeth Taylor Photo: Can Lohan Pull it Off?
Recent photos of Lindsay Lohan channeling the late actress Elizabeth Taylor have the Internet buzzing with questions of how closely the troubled young star actually resembles the famed actress of Hollywood's Golden Age.
The photo, posted on Lohan's Twitter account, shows the 25-year-old natural red head wearing a short white slip, and black wig and darkened eye brows to show her resemblance to Taylor.
As People magazine notes, the actress's 2006 photo shoot, taken by Karl Lagerfeld for Interview magazine, also shows the young actress bearing a striking resemblance to Taylor.

This week, Lohan signed to play Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime Original Movie "Liz and Dick."
"I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor," Lohan said in a statement.
"She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role," she added.
Many see this movie role as an opportunity for the former party girl to get her life back on track. Lohan, although praised for her acting capabilities in movies such as "Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls," has in her early twenties had several stints in rehab and jail.
Although many contend that Lohan is a spitting image to Taylor, others feel that she is still unable to perform as a professional actress.
Actress and former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell told the "TODAY" show Tuesday that she thinks Lohan is not able to accept the Elizabeth Taylor role.
"I think she needs a lot of help," O'Donnell said. "She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including 'SNL.' I think she's not in a place to work."
Lohan also did a guest appearance for the taping of this week's "Glee" episode. Although she started off professional, a source told E! News that Lohan showed up to the set three hour late and then would disappear during shooting.
However, Lohan's rep, Steve Honig, argues that this is just another classic case of "Lindsay bashing."
"If there was a problem yesterday, I would have just said 'no comment,' however I can't ignore this because this is utter B.S. This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her [expletive] yesterday," he told E! News.
In light of the skepticism, Lohan has been maintaining somewhat of a positive public image. This Saturday, she is to be a guest at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.
