Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues Live Stream: Watch Online NHL Hockey
Facing the only Wild Card team to score at least 100 points, the St. Louis Blues will host the Minnesota Wild at Scottrade Center in the first round of the NHL Playoffs. The match is on April 16, 2015 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
St. Louis finished the regular season as the top team in the Central Division. They held a five point lead over the Nashville Predators and were second in the Western Conference behind the Anaheim Ducks, despite being tied on points.
The Blues also finished the regular season strong, winning five of their last six matches including a two-game win streak to close things out.
Meanwhile, the Wild secured the first Wild Card spot in the West after beating out the Winnipeg Jets who finished with 99 points. They lost their last game of the season, ironically to the Blues, but had won back-to-back games prior to their season ender.
It should be a very interesting match-up between the two teams as they split their four meetings in the regular season.
They first met late in November, with the Blues pulling off a 3-2 penalty shootout win on the road. The action picked up in the second period when the Wild took a 2-1 lead, but David Backes leveled things in the third period to eventually send things to a penalty shootout, where Vladimir Tarasenko sank the winning goal.
In their next two meetings, the Wild got big wins at home and as guests. They won at St. Louis 3-1 before dominating the Blues 6-3 in an exciting match at the Xcel Energy Center.
And in their final meeting of the season, the Blues evened the series with a 4-2 victory behind an inspired performance from Jori Lehtera.
