Mortal Kombat X News: Characters Revealed, Game to Be Released in 2015
Fans of the Mortal Kombat series are eagerly anticipating the launch of its tenth title, Mortal Kombat X which is set for release next year.
Like its predecessors, Mortal Kombat X is a fighting game where two players face off against one another and fight using special moves and attacks. But one thing that makes the game unique is that this time around, each fighter will have access to three different combat variations. This feature was revealed by NetherRealm Studio's head Ed Boon at Sony's E3 2014 Media Briefing. It was also confirmed that the story of Mortal Kombat X would begin at the end of the previous game, then eventually transition to 25 years into the future, which will feature aged classic characters, new characters, and the children of previous fighters.
Classic characters returning to 'Mortal Kombat X' are Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Kano, Goro, and Quan-chi. Boon also hinted that the game's main antagonist will be a "surprising returning character."
Here are the new characters which will be appearing on Mortal Kombat X:
D'Vorah: Described as an insect-like woman who has the power to control insects.
Cassie Cage: The daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, and she borrows some fighting moves from both of her parents.
