'Nashville' Season 3 Spoilers: Deacon Pushes Rayna Away, Christina Aguilera Entering as Guest Star

This week's episode titled "I Can't Keep Away From You" of the hit musical comedy TV series "Nashville" Season 3 is promised to offer more doses of drama and excitement.

A synopsis posted on The Futon Critic indicated that as Rayna (Connie Britton) helps Deacon (Charles Esten) veer away from the thoughts of his dire condition, her support will only frustrate the latter.

Last episode reveals that Deacon has liver cancer and has ever since been down and depressed.

The summary continues to point out that Gunnar (Sam Palladio), Avery (Jonathan Jackson), and Scarlett (Clare Bowen) are opening for the Rascal Flatts on tour. However, "when her past public meltdown haunts" her on social media, Scarlett is once again confronted by the fear of performing on stage.

Meanwhile, Jeff (Oliver Hudson) and Layla (Aubrey Peeples) are still trying to determine the state of their relationship. On the other hand, Layla's ex-husband Will (Chris Carmack) enjoys the company of a writing partner. However, this won't end well for him as Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey) mysteriously disappears.

On cast news, People posted a few promo photos for an upcoming episode of the series. It featured the iconic pop star, Christina Aguilera, all suited up for her slated guest appearance on the ABC drama.

The shots showed the chanteuse's character, named Jade, with Jeff. The other one saw the "Genie in a Bottle" performing on stage with her pink hairdo.

According to casting reports, Jade will be Jeff's ex-fiancee. As said by the network: "Jeff is forced to revisit his past and work with the woman who once played a larger role in both his personal and professional lives."

"Nashville" Season 3 airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
