NBA News 2015: Coaches Of The Month Named, LeBron James Says He 'Wanted To Be Just Like Kobe'

The NBA recently named two coaches for "Coach of the Month", while Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James shared his thoughts on Kobe Bryant's latest retirement announcement.

In a report by NBA.com, the 'Coach of the Month' recognition was given to the Cleveland Cavaliers' David Blatt and the Golden State Warriors' Luke Walton. The Cavaliers have put on an impressive run as of late, since the season began in late October.

With a record of 13-6, so far, Blatt was able to lead his wards to eight consecutive victories, from October 28-November 13th, completely erasing the stigma of their season-opener loss against the Chicago Bulls. The Cavaliers also managed to win all their home games from the start of the NBA season upto December 1.

The other man to receive the same honor is interim coach Luke Walton, who has stepped in as a temporary replacement for head coach Steve Kerr. The latter was forced to stay at the sidelines since the pre-season training camp after some complications from back surgery.

Walton was able to lead the defending champions to its impressive 21-0 record in the season, so far.

Meanwhile, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James was the latest NBA figure to share his sentiments regarding Los Angeles Lakers main man Kobe Bryant's retirement announcement.

"The Black Mamba" recently made his declaration of playing his final season this year through a letter he wrote that was published on the Players' Tribune.

In another report by NBA.com, James not only expressed his gratitude to the Lakers' franchise player, he also showed utmost reverence to the five-time NBA champion.

"I wanted to be just like him, man," James said.

The 30-year old basketball player says he always had respect for Bryant, adding that there will be no other player who can fill his shoes.

"We've always competed against one another and we always wanted to dethrone each other. But we always had that mutual respect because we knew how much we put into the game," James said. "I've always voiced my opinion about Kobe, how great Kobe is, and obviously there will never be another one of him in our league. Ever."
