It is currently unknown how the other 5-year-old gained access to the weapon and the circumstances surrounding its discharge. Police are currently investigating the events and refuse to release more details.

"We are not releasing any of that," said Lt. Bill Guiberson of the Chubbuck Police Department. "Obviously that's part of the investigation."

The girl's parents, Drew Shawver and Stacie Udy Shawver, will be holding a funeral for their daughter Aug. 6 in Blackfoot, Idaho, and are accepting donations via GoFundMe.

"Although, we can never replace their loss we can help by trying to lessen their financial burden," Patrina Udy wrote on the fundraising website. "Donations made to this fund will go directly to the family to pay for funeral and burial expenses.

Although she initially asked for just $15,000, 477 donors have given over $20,000 in just one day.

"Your generosity is simply amazing! We are near our goal but I don't want to stop there," the GoFundMe reads. "Please keep donating as the family will incur several other expenses ie. medical, time off work, counseling and such. Every dollar is greatly appreciated!!"
