'Once Upon a Time' News, Cast, Spoilers: Greek Mythology Awaits for Season 5B

Many fans seem to agree that the current fifth season of "Once Upon a Time" is becoming the most interesting yet. With Emma currently being the Dark One and Regina left to do the heroic deeds, the reversal of roles was simply enough to keep viewer's attention. However, the show did not stop there as it continues to incorporate new characters into the series such as the beloved Merida from the Pixer movie "Brave, as well as a new kingdom, Camelot, in which characters like King Arthur, Sir Lancelot, and Queen Guinvere of the Arthurian legends enter the scene.

Now stories are culminating that the show is gearing up to introduce another fantasy realm, Greek mythology. Co-creator and executive produce Eddy Kitsis has already teased before that season 5B will be "hell," and it it seems he didn't mean it as a simile. Although the show may not be delving into the religious aspect of "hell," it may just be referring to the Underworld. With Greg Germann recently cast as "the Distinguished Gentleman," his character description seems to be referring to none other than the god of the Underworld, Hades.

Now according to Bustle, other roles up for grabs seem to point to the appearance of Hercules and Megara. One of the roles currently being filled in is "dashing, strapping young man" who is "single-minded in his pursuit of his destiny: to be the greatest hero who ever lived." This would definitely sound familiar as Hercules has always said this tagline in his animation movie. As for another role, the description may be too much of a giveaway as the search for a "plucky, 18-year-old female adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit" goes on, it's more than enough to convince anyone that Megara will be gracing the television screens soon.
