'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Cast Spoilers, News: Memoir Author Hints More 'Twists and Turns' in the Next Chapter

Third season of the Nexflix original and hit jail bird drama series "Orange is the New Black" has yet to be announced on when it will come out. However, fans are still hankering for more updates about the popular drama. Here's what we've rounded up so far.

Piper Kerman, author of the memoir "Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison," offers hints to fans on what to expect on the TV adaptation's season 3.

Todays Zaman cited the author, who said that the next installment will be full of "really amazing stories and twists and turns." She also said that it will feature some interesting back stories of some of the recurring characters as well as introduce a new cast member who will play a big role in the development of the story.

Serving as a consultant for the show, Kerman however remained mum concerning important details about "OINTB' season 3 including its release date.

Speaking in front of the students and faculty members at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, the author could have expected to be asked further about the drama.

"One of the things that Jenji Kohan has said about Season 3 already on record is that an exploration of faith is a big part of what she is planning and what they have scripted so far," she explained.

Having spent more than a year in a federal prison for money laundering and drug trafficking, the 45-year-old said she wasn't so happy about that particular point in her past.

"I absolutely regret my crime. I think that while I'm so grateful to have found readers and I'm thrilled with the Netflix show, the truth of the matter is that prison is a deeply traumatic experience," the writer added.
