Paris Hilton to Get Own Mobile Game App
American socialite Paris Hilton will soon be getting her own video game, Animoca Brands announced this week.
Paris Hilton, who starred in "The Simple Life" reality show, has inked an agreement with Hong Kong mobile game developer, Animoca Brands, to star in her own mobile app video game.
The new game will feature Hilton's name and likeness, as well as imagery and content related to her brand, Paris Hilton Entertainment, and will be based on what Robby Yung, Animoca Brands CEO refers to as one of the "world's most recognized" personalities. The game's title, while yet to be announced, will include Hilton's designations as actress, model, singer, socialite, and entrepreneur.
Following the footsteps of Kim Kardashian's 2014 "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" video game, Hilton's mobile game will feature her expertise on the latest fashion and style trends.
"With Paris' eye for what's hot in the latest trends, and our experience at making popular mobile games, we are confident that consumers around the world will be receptive to Paris Hilton mobile games and themes," Yung told Yahoo! News.
While the new Animoca offering isn't Hilton's first video game – she previously starred in Gameloft's "Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest" in 2006 – Animoca Brands says it will be developing the new game in several phases, creating branded items that users can purchase to build up the hype for the full game.
Whether Paris Hilton's upcoming video game will top Kardashian's $1.6 million earnings for her "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" in its first week of release has yet to be determined. Animoca, creator of games based on well-known franchises like Astro Boy, Ben 10, Doraemon, and Garfield on its resume, has yet to reveal the game's release date.
