There are speculations that Scofield's wife, Dr. Sara Tancredi, will also be back in the series. If this is true, the series will most likely show the two as a happy family since the previous season ended with Sara pregnant.

However, only Miller and Purcell are the only ones confirmed to reprise their roles. With that, there have been rumors that other actors will be back to portray their past characters again. This includes Robert Knepper, who plays the role of Bagwell, Amaury Nolasco, who plays the role of Fernando Sucre, and William Fichtner, who plays the role of Alexander Mahone.

There has yet to be details on how the story of the new season will go. There are speculations that it will continue from the events that took place when the series ended. However, fans are wondering just how the story will portray Michael Scofield's death, which was shown in the finale of season 4, since it was said that he will be returning for season 5.

"Prison Break" season 5 is expected to premiere this March 2016.
