'Quantico' Season 3 Spoilers: Owen to Reveal Truth Behind Roarke's Death

Someone will crack under pressure in the upcoming season of "Quantico." Is it going to be Owen (Blair Underwood), the new director of the CIA?

Showrunner Michael Seitzman has revealed new details in the much-awaited new installment of the ABC series. According to People's Choice, he posted a photo of the script of one of the upcoming episodes slated to air next year. The title of the episode is "The Conscience Code," and it was written by Seitzman and directed by Russell Lee Fine. While there are no other clues included in the image, speculations are rife that one of Alex's (Priyanka Chopra) friends and former colleagues in the task force will "grow a conscience" and reveal what he/she knows about the death of President Roarke (Dennis Boutsikaris).

Season 3 will see Alex and her boyfriend Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) as fugitives following the death and scandal of the late POTUS. Nobody else knew about Roarke's diabolical plans, except for the Presidential Covert Joint Task Force. Alex sacrificed her life in an attempt to expose the truth, but Roarke still had the last laugh. He committed suicide and put all the blame on her shoulders. Ryan was not supposed to be with Alex when she boarded her getaway plane, but he insisted that he would go with her. Now, both of them are on the run, with the U.S. government about to launch a worldwide manhunt for the outlaws.

Owen knows the truth, but as the new head of the CIA, his hands are tied. Still, he may change his mind and choose to expose Roarke's secrets to clear Alex's name. After all, they have been friends for so long.

Meanwhile, there is no guarantee on what the others will do. Even Ryan cannot be trusted. Although he has said time and again that he loves Alex, spoilers reveal that he may still be hiding a dark secret. Alex knows that in her line of work, trust is hard to come by. If she wants to stay alive, she has no one to depend on but herself.

According to reports, "Quantico" season 3 will premiere in 2018.
