Real Housewives' Alexis Bellino's 'General Hospital' Acting Debut (VIDEO)

The "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Alexis Bellino appeared on "General Hospital" on Wednesday where she played the role of a live news anchor.

The mother of three, who has a recurring role as an entertainment correspondent on San Diego's "FOX 5" morning show," received mixed reviews for her acting debut and spoke out about the experience.

"I cannot even put it into words. First of all, I had no idea going on set that the studio would be so huge! It's an actual hospital. It was amazing and breathtaking. I was nervous, but it was an excited nervous. I had a great time!" Bellino told MSN.

"It was surreal. I got nervous and a little choked up the first take, but the second time I nailed it," she added.

Bellino, who is also a fashion designer, could land a recurring role on the day time soap opera.

"I don't know if he was joking, but the director said all the women in the back were saying I should be the permanent news anchor. I said, "Absolutely! I put an application in with you guys." I was so blessed for this experience and I hope I have another one," she said.

The reality star was openly criticized for her reporting skills by co-star Gretchen Rossi and recently took to her Bravo TV blog to vent her frustrations.

"The truth is, I have felt a disconnect with Gretchen that started months ago. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, but now watching all of the episodes thus far, I can see I wasn't imagining it," Bellino wrote.

"The saddest part is that it only gets worse throughout the upcoming episodes. There are several things that confirm my premonitions. In an upcoming episode, something occurs between Gretchen and I that absolutely crushes me, and I know you will all see the true colors of all the women by the end of the season," she added.
