Samsung Galaxy S3, the World's First Quad-Core LTE Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has launched in many countries throughout the world.

The smartphone is arguably Samsung's most impressive one to date, sporting a gorgeous 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display where users can multitask on a whole other level by texting and watching videos at the same time.

Thanks to Samsung's quad-core Exynos processor, the device is able to accomplish feats that no other smartphone has been able to do. However, that chip was removed from the U.S. version and replaced by the dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip in order to accommodate LTE networks.

This came as a disappointment to many Samsung fans anticipating the company's first true quad-core smartphone. Overseas, the Galaxy S3 packs a power punch unlike any other smartphone in the past and hopefully the U.S. version will match up despite the downgraded processor.

However, the true potential of the Galaxy S3 will not be seen until it is released in Korea.

Various sources have reported that the Korean version of the device will launch with both the Exynos quad-core chip and LTE connectivity. The possibilities seem endless for this version of the S3.

It will also feature 2GB of RAM, making it the most powerful smartphone ever created.

Since Korea is the home base of Samsung electronics, it seems like the ideal place to launch a smartphone of this caliber.

And with Apple launching the new iPhone in the coming months, Samsung has been working hard to solidify its flagship smartphone's place in the market.

Can Apple's next-gen device stack up against this monster of a handset?

Samsung already predicted that it will sell over 10 million Galaxy S3s in the month of July. It will be exciting to see what Apple is planning and watch the two devices go head to head.
