Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, News: Report Shares Most Recent, Detailed Photo Leak
This week, most recent and more complete leaked previews of the Samsung Galaxy S8 have been surfacing on social media and some reports.
Just recently, BGR reported a leaked photo of a finished Galaxy S8 product. It shows the three on-screen keys which - from left to right - are the "recently used apps" switcher key, home, and back buttons.
Though there have been numerous Galaxy S8 leaks for the past several weeks, what sets apart these photos is the visible detailed design on the device's front side.
On another occasion, BGR executive editor Zach Epstein posted on his own Twitter page a supposed promotional photo of the Galaxy S8 accompanied by a caption, "Samsung wouldn't unveil the Galaxy S8 at MWC this week, so I did it for them."
On Tuesday, notable mobile news reporter and leaker, Evan Blass, also shared a clearer render of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Blass shared a photo that shows extremely thin bezels that were expected to be seen on the Galaxy S8.
The reporter captioned it, "I think this is what you've been waiting for." However, the recently rumored on-screen keys to replace the physical home button are nowhere to be found in the image.
The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will reportedly feature the same display panel as the Galaxy S7 Edge, which is a curved active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) plus a glass bodywork on the rear side.
In the same BGR report, Galaxy S8 will reportedly ship in the U.S. with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which is an octa-core chipset with 2.4 gigahertz clockspeed. These specifications will be paired with a 4 GB random access memory and pre-packed 64 GB internal storage. Naturally, it will sport a microSD slot to support memory expansion of as much as 2 TB.
Interestingly, in both the leaked photos shared by Blass and Epstein, the Galaxy S8 screen bears the date "Wednesday, March 29," which is reportedly the scheduled launch of the upcoming smartphone flagship from South Korea.
