Scott Foley on 'True Blood' Role: What is His 'Mission'? (VIDEO)
Scott Foley has opened up about his new role on the HBO series "True Blood," which begins its fifth season on June 10. Foley's teasing comments have sent the "True Blood" followers on a search for clues before the new season even begins.
"People ask me, 'Oh my God, you're on 'True Blood' ... what are you?' And I have to keep saying, 'Umm … nothing! I'm just a guy!' I'm not a vampire or a werewolf, I'm not a werepanther, I'm not a fairy; I'm not a shapeshifter. I'm just a guy coming into town trying to finish up something he started back in Iraq," he explained.
Foley's character, Patrick, is the former platoon commander of Todd Lowe's character Terry Bellefleur. The two have unfinished business, which Foley says stems from their time in Iraq.

"Something happened between the two of them in Iraq that needs to be dealt with. I can't say what it is, but there is a mission they need to complete," he continued.
Even though Foley is being secretive, it doesn't seem to bother fans already excited for the new season to begin.
"I'm actually hyped for an arc revolving around Terry. He's awesome!" commented Mac on TVline.com.
"I love Terry! He is in my top 5 favorite characters. And OMGodric, I really love Scott Foley, and I can't wait to see why he has to come to town," added Marcia Siehr.
"True Blood" is a break-out HBO series that is based on a series of books written by Charlaine Harris. It has an enormous following and hundreds of sites dedicated to everything "True Blood." The series just released the fourth season on DVD, with the timing being only two weeks before the new season debuts.
Foley's character is rather unique in that he is one of the few 100 percent humans on the series. His character will play opposite that of Lowe, who also appears to be fully human.
