Shaun White Mug Shot Released: Olympic Medalist Fallen From Grace?

Shaun White has been arrested and charged with public intoxication and vandalism while staying at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, police revealed. He was taken to a local hospital for injuries after he hit his head on a fence and released yesterday.

White was staying at an upscale hotel when he pulled the hotel's fire alarm around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Guests were forced to evacuate the building, and White allegedly attempted to flee the scene.

One bystander noticed White trying to leave and managed to keep the cab from leaving the hotel. He explained that he was going to call authorities, which set White off on a rampage.

"When White overheard their conversation, he allegedly kicked the citizen and fled on foot. The citizen reported that he chased White until White turned and ran into him, apparently causing White to fall backwards and strike his head against a fence," police said.

The concerned citizen has decided not to file charges against White for assault, but that has not stopped police from pursuing White for his antics.

"Responding officers reported that White appeared to be extremely intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol," authorities explained.

After White refused to sign and agree to the misdemeanor charges, police issued arrest warrants and formally charged him with public intoxication and vandalism. He will appear in court on Oct. 10 and has been released on his own recognizance.

White is internationally known for his skateboarding and snowboarding abilities. He has won numerous medals for his skills and is a source of inspiration for younger kids. White has not issued a statement about this ordeal, but it's clear that fans will be waiting to see what their hero has to say.

"Shaun White got arrested. Turns out he's human after all eh?" tweeted Whitelines.
