'Star Fox Zero' Release Date Delayed Until July?
"Star Fox Zero" was supposed to be out late 2015, but Platinum Games needed more time to polish the game, so the release date was pushed back again. Now, it appears that the Wii U game will be made available on July 15.
French retailer Micromania has listed "Star Fox Zero" under a July 15 release date, prompting rumors that the official release date has been moved once again from the previously expected April 2016 schedule, according to WCCF Tech.
So far, Micromania is the only retailer listing "Star Fox Zero" with the July 15 schedule. Amazon, Best Buy, and other online retailers still list the game with an April 22 release date, The Bitbag reports.
Micromania might have made an error in the listing. However, it is worth noting that the company has correctly leaked some details about the PlayStation 3 Slim, Sunset Overdrive Xbox One, and the White Xbox One, the report details.
Meanwhile, Nintendo still has not confirmed the delayed release for the new game, so fans are urged to take this piece of news with a grain of salt.
"Star Fox Zero" is expected to include new unique features for the Wii U GamePad. These features include seeing the environment from the Fox's point of view as they lock onto their opponents and improved flying techniques, the report relays.
The upcoming space shooter game is all about legendary space pilot Fox McCloud's effort to help bring peace across the galaxy by defeating an evil empire and protecting the Lylat system. The player will have to know how to fly the Gyrowing flight drone, Landmaster tank, and the Arwing jet.
While there is still no confirmation for the delay, the latest official release date for "Star Fox Zero" is April 2016 in North America and Europe. More information regarding the game are expected to surface as the release date approaches.
