'Star Trek 3' Release Date, News: Untitled Sequel to Shoot in Seoul, Korea
Actors Chris Pine (Commander James T. Kirk) and Zachary Quinto (Spock) will do at least one more film in the reboot series and the twelfth installment of the science fiction movie "Star Trek."
Collider reported that J.J. Abrams won't be there to helm the third reboot sequel as his hands are busy tending the upcoming and another space saga "Star Wars Episode VII." However, he later confirmed that he will act as one of the "Star Trek 3" producers.
Rumored to have been slated for a 2016 release, fansite Trekmovie indicated in their publication that the initial production of the film may start in Asia particularly in the bustling city of Seoul, South Korea.

They pointed out Seoul's mayor, Park Won-Soon, who visited Los Angeles to have a word with Paramount regarding the Hollywood blockbuster project. The site further cited the official's Facebook page post, dated Sept. 29.
"Today I met with Jeffrey Chernov, producer of 'Star Trek 3,' at the Paramount Pictures Studio and agreed to film a portion of the upcoming movie in Seoul," the mayor wrote.
Nonetheless, the studio hasn't yet released any official announcement about the matter.
Meanwhile, a report from We Got This Covered pointed out the enlistment of Academy Award winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda ("Life of Pi") to work with new director and former producer Roberto Orci.
Miranda has also been responsible for the stunning visual qualities of "Oblivion," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," as well as "TRON: Legacy."
Previous "Star Trek" reboot series cinematographer Daniel Mindel has already been reported to have left with Abrams for "Star Wars: Episode VII," which is scheduled to come to theaters in December 2015.
