Star Wars 1313 Game Unveiled

LucasArts has officially announced a new video franchise "Star Wars 1313," exciting gamers across the world on Friday.

The new internally developed video game franchise features a never-before-seen dark and mature world where players can take control of a lethal bounty hunter.

Introducing Level 1313, the game takes place on the planet of Coruscant and is intended to reveal a more mature theme than any previous Star Wars game. "Star Wars 1313" employs a hero that uses human skills and gadgets as opposed to the supernatural Force powers to make his way through the dangerous underworld.

Players will use "an arsenal of exotic weaponry to hunt down his marks and uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy," according to the press release for "Star Wars 1313."

The game will make its formal debut at the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles June 5-7.

"We're excited to share one of the projects LucasArts has been hard at work developing," said Paul Meegan, President of LucasArts. "Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we've always known existed, but never had a chance to visit. We are committed to bringing the best gameplay experience and visual fidelity to life and I truly believe the work we are showcasing at E3 will speak for itself."

The third-person cinematic action adventure game has Twitter abuzz, will "Star Wars" fans as well as E3 attendees sounding off.

"Star Wars 1313 looks like it's going to be awesome," said Evan. "Playing as a bounty hunter in a new Star Wars videogame? Sign me up."

Caleb wrote, "Star Wars 1313!!!!! Can't frickin wait sounds amazingly awesome."

"Finally some bounty hunter love," posted Jeff.

Videogame journalist Geoff Keighley wrote, "That was your first taste of the mature world of Star Wars 1313. Do not miss the gameplay premiere on Monday, this game will blow you away."
