'Street Fighter V' update: more characters added, Karin returns to game

Capcom's fighting video game "Street Fighter 5" is undeniably well underway. The developers are making their progress known through their updates on the characters that they are adding in to the roster. The nearer it gets to launching day, the more they are unveiling the roster. Last time, they introduced Rashid, the wind-based warrior who wears a jetpack and a Dragon Ball Z eye doohickey. His addition to the list was announced during the GAMES 15 Convention held in Dubai.

According to IGN, Rashid possesses V-skill abilities that make him unique. "His V-Skill is a front flip move that, when combined with a kick input, acts like a C. Viper Burning Kick," details IGN. He can also do a slide kick for knockdown and roll to evade projectiles. He can also generate a tornado column that will cause attack damage to the opponent and a mid-air speed boost if he jumps through it.

An equally fatal character added into the list is Karin Kanzuki, who is making a comeback after what seemed like a long hiatus at the "Street Fighter" games. Along with her annoying trademark laugh, she's back in the game after appearing in "Street Fighter Alpha 3" and "Capcom Fighting Evolution." She is also revealed in the official blurb to be the young heiress to the Kanzuki Zaibatsu, a global financial conglomerate. She is an expert in numerous martial arts and practices a combination of those to fabricate a unique "Kanzuki style" of fighting.

She is described by Capcom's Peter Rosas as a "well-rounded character" that possesses moves and skills that will allow gamers to choose from the attack options. Her normal attacks remains the same but she has variants of her old special moves like and overhead special and a kick special. Karin is known to be a rival of Sakura, which is not yet confirmed to be part of the upcoming game's roster.

"Street Fighter V" will be hitting store shelves in spring 2016 for PS4 and PC.
