'Super Mario Maker' DLC: Free Mercedes-Benz Level and Costume
Nintendo's "Super Mario Maker" is revving things up with a free Mercedes-Benz DLC. The fresh content comes with a brand-new level and car costume.
The new Event Course is called Mercedes-Benz Jump 'n' Drive, and it features several car-themed areas. Chief among them is the area pictured on the left showcasing the carmaker's iconic logo all laid out in Mario bricks. In addition to that, the course also includes a dealership, an autobahn, and an area around the city for test drives.
The DLC will also give players a new car costume that features Mario in the driver's seat of the Mercedes-Benz. The new costume can be unlocked by completing the level, and once unlocked, it can be added to the player's Mystery Mushroom costume collection.

That's all the details that have been revealed so far, but Nintendo teased there are surprises in the new event course just waiting to be discovered. To start playing, gamers need to go to the "Event Courses" section and download the new level. Event Courses features other special levels presented by Nintendo and its partners.
"Super Mario Maker continues to grow and evolve with new courses and content," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales and marketing, in a press release. "It's great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others."
Mercedes-Benz is "Super Mario Maker's" exclusive automotive partner. The automobile company had previously lent its GLA as an exclusive kart body to "Mario Kart 8," which became the inspiration of the Mercedes-Benz Jump 'n' Drive Event Course.
"We are delighted to once again be represented in a blockbuster game like Super Mario Maker," said Dr. Jens Thiemer, Mercedes-Benz cars marketing vice president, in a statement. "Mercedes-Benz and Super Mario have a lot in common. Above all, they share the same vision: to inspire their customers and fans."
The Mercedes-Benz Jump 'n' Drive and the accompanying car costume are now available to all owners of "Super Mario Maker."
