Jackson started her career as a model before becoming one of India's prominent leading ladies.

Apart from Jackson, "Supergirl" season 3 will feature Odette Annable as Sam and the Kryptonian-bred Worldkiller, Reign, and Adrian Pasdar as Morgan Edge, a ruthless real estate developer.

Promotional images reveal Annable as Sam in the midst of a struggle, cradling her daughter Ruby in her arms. Though she appears to be hurt in the photos, she might not be killed off as she is meant to be a series regular. Little is known about the struggle, but that event might have been the catalyst for Sam's transition as Reign.

The evil alter-ego will gradually overpower Sam and when she does give in, this evil villain will prove to be a tough adversary for the Girl of Steel.

Other DC Villains coming next season include Psi who will be played by Yael Grobglas. His character is a villain who controls people with his psychic abilities.

A classic DC character coming next season is M'yrnn J'onzz, father of J'onn J'onzz (David Harewood) or the Martian Manhunter, who will be portrayed by Carl Lumbly.

The newly released photos also provide a sneak peek of Erica Durance as Alura.

"Supergirl" season 3 airs on Monday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
