"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer has had a tumultuous year but recently called it the best year of her life, "by the grace of God."

Messer has had a year filled with a custody battle with her ex-husband, accusations of infidelity, and taking care of three children, one with special needs. However, the fervent Christian has always trusted God to provide and meet her family's needs. She and husband Jeremy Calvert have managed to make it through a stressful year together, despite rumors and accusations of infidelity by both parties.

"I thought 2014 was going to turn out to be the worst year of my life, but after Dec. 8 it turned out to be the BEST," Messer posted on Christmas. "NOW, Bring on 2015!!"

The December date cited by Messer was the final court date in an ongoing custody battle between her and ex-husband, Corey Simms, the father of her twin daughters. Simms sued for full custody, stating that Messer was not taking adequate care of her daughter, Ali, who has special needs. He accused her of failing to take Ali to her physical therapy appointments. A judge ruled that the parents would continue to share custody of the girls, which came as a huge relief to Messer, who feared that she would lose precious time with the girls.

Meanwhile, she has also struggled with her husband, who used Twitter to accuse his wife of infidelity with an old boyfriend. Messer then reportedly discovered that Calvert had sent racy texts to another woman. However, the two managed to work things out and are still together.

Messer has been attending church on a regular basis and often shares her testimony and faith through Twitter.

Earlier this year, Messer decided not to proceed with filming another season of "Teen Mom 2" but later changed her mind. Fans have been eager for the return of the hit MTV series, which will air in 2015.
