'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' News: Game's Free DLC Arrives

While avid players of the game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" are waiting for the arrival of its "The Champions' Ballad" DLC (downloadable content), Nintendo is expected to release a free "Zelda" DLC today, Nov. 9, that will reward the players a special set of armor.

According to reports, the armor that the players of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be rewarded with is a replica of Rex's, the protagonist in the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, "Xenoblade Chronicles 2." While some suspect that the armor to come with the free DLC to be released later today will function in the same way with the armor that came with the "Breath of the Wild" DLC Pack 1, which means Link will have a bonus ability or a status effect, others opine that it may just be different.

On the other hand, because the armor is a replica of Rex's outfit in "Xenoblade Chronicles," some can't help but speculate that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" may be existing in the same universe. However, some believe that it is not the case as Nintendo would not have offered a season pass for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" if it were so.

Meanwhile, the next DLC for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "The Champions' Ballad," is set to arrive next month. According to sources, the upcoming DLC will expand the game's base story, and players will still assume the role of Link despite Zelda and the champions being the primary focus of the narrative of the DLC.

While nothing much is known about "The Champions Ballad," which was originally announced as a part of its season pass until it was decided to be a separate purchase, it is suspected that it will follow the life of Zelda as a princess and before Link was put under.
