Tim Wright, Christian Patriots Tight End Talks Humility Amid Reports That Team Will Release Him
Tim Wright, the Christian New England Patriots tight end NFL sources report is expected to be release by the team spoke up Thursday of staying humble despite the buzz about his job security.
Wright, 25, was traded to the Patriots from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014. He played in Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots where the team claimed victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Right before reports surfaced that Wright would be released from the team, the Christian tight end tweeted about humility.
"God Honors Humility, Not pride," he wrote on Twitter.

FOX's NFL Media Insider Mike Garafolo reported Thursday that sources close to the situation announced that the Patriots would part ways with Wright.
"Patriots have released TE Tim Wright, source says. Had six TDs last season," Garafolo announced on Twitter. "Tim Wright is subject to waivers. With 11 TDs over 2 years, that's solid value in June. We'll see who bites."
Regardless of where the football player ends up next season, Wright seems to be focused on his faith and shares his beliefs on Twitter through select Bible verses. He also launched the Tim Wright Foundation last May.
The Wright Way Academy is a part of this foundation which gives underserved youth academic and athletic support. The New Jersey native said he plans to start focusing on the kids in his home state where he will create a model that will hopefully spread internationally.
"I want all the efforts of my partners and me to collaborate and create a platform for our youth to advance through all the various events that will take place this calendar year," he said a report from The Network Journal. "My long-term goal is to produce a facility where all the aspects of a kid's life can be organized in one facility, such as academics, athletics, nutrition, financial management and crime prevention."
